It's still pretty hopping to my eyes.

Tired I think... just tired of the constant worry of what will be the next storm to hit your hometown. Tired of watching things spinning out at sea wondering if they're going to hit you, or stay at bay. It's exhausting. Not knowing whether or not to take your shutters down, or put away the supplies for a week or so. Between Charley, Frances, Ivan, Ivan pt.2, Jeanne, Karl, Lisa, ..... just wondering when it will all end.

That's my reasoning at least.

I finally took down the plywood this past weekend. Weird weather! It has been very cool in this part of Florida. Only in the upper 70's low 80's during the day. Last night was cool enough to sleep with the windows open! this is very, very odd for Florida this time of year. I cannpt explain it, I wonder if we will have an exceptionally cold winter this year. It is though fall has come already! very nice for a change!

Total burnout. Between me here and my family on the east coast, the last month has been pretty rough.

No rest for the wicked.

We are all recovering from:

(1) Charley

(2) Frances

(3) Ivan

(4) Ivan, Jr

and preparing for:

(5) Jeanne

(6) Lisa

Aside from our Post-Traumatic Stress, replacing items we have used from our Hurricane supplies, gassing up our cars and gas cans for generators WHEN there's gas available (and topping off every 3 miles), retarping the roof every three days, taking plywood down/putting plywood up, cutting down trees that pounded our roof during the LAST THREE Hurricanes, and GETTING ON WITH A SOMEWHAT NORMAL LIFESTYLE, I can't imagine why people are posting less than they were.

We've been so busy here. After we returned from the evac, we cleaned up our place (no small task) and then went to help some other folks from our office. My oldest son hurt his back helping someone clean up, so there's some nursemaiding to do there. Back to the regular job tomorrow. Still no school for Niceville, so the 16 year old is getting cabin fever....

I mostly just read and since there hasn't been as much posting, I have been doing the things I should be doing.
I do keep checking in on Jeanne though. I am very curious where she will end up.

Been having hurricane related dreams most nights. Figured I'd take a break and let the 'ol subconscious have a couple of nights off.
