Can anyone point me to a very extensive image archive?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Can anyone point me to a very extensive image archive?

I'm trying to build some long and detailed animations of Ivan and Jeanne. I hate those 8 panel Java animations. In the past, I was able to find servers that had large archives of images. I found this NRLMRY site that has a pretty good history of pictures, but in this case, it's only about 48 hours (of pics taken every :30 minutes).

Look here for the list of IR images of Jeanne going back 48 hours or so.

What's I'd really love is a server that might have GOES 8 IR or Visible images back 14 days or something like that.

I'll create a nice long AVI of two weeks worth of movement and I'll post a link to it after I've created it.

Thanks one and all.

Here's an animation that I put together w/ GOES 12 IR images of Jeanne from 9/19/2004 1:05 GMT til 9/21/2004 15:15 GMT. A total of 105 images.

This was encoded with the Windows Media 9 codec.

Ivan Remmants are still partially alive. Do you think Ivan could be "reborn"? Would it be called Ivan if it did?
