Not just Florida.

NC has been impacted by 6 tropical systems this year. This isn't something to be proud of just something that gets lost in the media deluge and a reminder that people outside Florida (and by extension, outside NC) have been hit hard this year too...

If you have stories or reports from your home, please share them here...

 North Carolina has been on my mind for days and days. One of my favorite places, and I'm worried about the area where my Alma Mater is located.

Is there a reason you have posted this several times?

You are actually completely missing the definitions of the words too:

Hit means that a storm came from the Atlantic to make a direct strike on SC/NC those this year were:

Alex (NC)
Charley (SC)
Gaston (SC)

That is 3 systems have hit the Carolinas.

Impacted means that storms have either made a direct strike from the Atlantic or came from the Gulf as remnants (But to come from the Gulf..it has to make a significant impact...not just a few little showers) Those this year were:

Alex (NC)
Charley (SC)
Frances (Rem)
Gaston (SC)
Ivan (Rem)

That is...5 systems have impacted the Carolinas.

Please get it right and stop posting topics about it every 5 seconds.....if you keep doing it, the mods will most likely lock/delete them.

NC has been hammered... however, Florida has suffered the brunt of three Major Hurricanes, and right now the state is in a very fragile condition. Also, I don't have figures, but I'd imagine most of the people on the board are from Florida, hence you get more people posting about FL than other states. People haven't forgotten about NC/SC or the other SE states, it's just this has been a very horrifying year for most in Florida.
