Okay, I'm really confused

I live near Galveston (Friendswood actually), Is Ivan coming on shore in Galveston or more to the east? Or does anyone really know for sure? How strong are they saying it will be? I'm really debating whether I should send my little one to school or maybe keep him home. I learned never to underestimate these systems after going through Allison! I know its alot of questions, but it doesn't look like we have much time to prepare.

Going to be very close, maybe a little east or west, but close enough, probably as a tropical storm late tomorrow night or very early Friday.

Your little one should be OK for school tomorrow, things shouldnt get too messy until tomorrow night .... if schools are going to be cancelled at any time it will be Friday.... you will know when you wake up how bad things are gonna be. :)
