Haha dont be dogging Matthews, I'm friends with him, he just gets a little worked up when storms come, but he is passionate and as knowledgable as anyone. He's the man. I dont like Lopicola, or really anyone at news channel 5. I like their reporting but not their meterology. Mike Lyons is the best in the area IMO.

Mike always seems even-keeled, but they are all saying the same thing we need to watch it, and if it stays on this path, we will see TS force winds possible more if the track shifts west. Johny Matthews definitely gets kinda nervous-excited when storms come around. I'll stick with Mike Lyons, I really like weather first, news later.

What makes this situation particularly dangerous is that the ground is already fully saturated, and even flooded along the Treasure Coast, thanks to Son of Ivan. The coastal erosion and loss of dunes makes the heavily developed barrier islands sitting ducks, wide open to the full fury of the ocean. Emergency Management, shelters, and supplies have been heavily taxed. Many residences and buildings are still being repaired from Frances, and some are structurally weakened from the damage. Even worse, the population may be becoming evacuation weary. The traffic gridlocks and gas shortages will still be fresh on the minds of many. Other things such as delays in getting people back onto Hutchinson Island may cause more people to decide to ride it out. This could make for a very bad situation.
