At least cat-3...and if the outflow is as impressive as progged...and Jeanne moving over 29-29.5°c sst's in the Gulf Stream, a low end cat-4 (135-140 mph) isn't out of the question....especially if landfall occurs south of Palm Beach county (into Dade or Broward counties) over the Gulf Stream south of where Frances's core passed over.

The water temps have went down in tht area and also thee looks like some dry air trying to get into the eye right now as well.

the water throughout the bahamas can sustain at least a cat4

the water right off the florida coast is at least potent enough for a cat5

mathmatically of course...

According to yesterday's TCHP charts from AOML/ HRD, there's still plenty of energy to support a major landfalling hurricane in the Bahamas and southern Florida....enough to support a cat-4.
