How did Ivan get back down to the GOM??

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Apparently, he (or part of him) moved SE out across Virginia (after taking the path on this map), curved back down to FL, gave them more aggravating wind and rain which they didn't need, then moved back out into the Gulf, removed his Harry Potter invisibilty cape, and appeared again in NHC advisories as Tropical Storm Ivan.

A piece of him broke off as he moved off the east coast. It slid southwest and over Florida, into the GOM, add a little heat and moisture and viola! The Return of Ivan.

Well...... part of him did. The other part floated down and picked up more moisture, rained and blew across FL for 2 days( just a rain event) then went out into the gulf and regenerated to give parts of the Gulf that has seen no activity a second chance. I think he couldn't decide where to go the first time around so has decided to make his
"comeback tour". Let's hope this is his final preformance.

This has been a STUPID SEASON!
I am now under the realization that ANYTHING CAN and WILL happen this season.

Here is something interesting...

Compare the September 17 earthquake near the
Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia border... with the
NHC advisory path of Ivan.... see the links below.

Bear with me, this is complicated, LOL

He moved up the East Coast, moved back over water in the Delaware/Southern New Jersey area, then SSW, before turning WSW and crossing South Florida and then into the Gulf.

Well there you go. Cat Stevens was clearly on his way over to the U.S. to induce another earthquake and cause a hurricane to magically gravitate towards the affected area. Thank goodness the government stopped him before he was able to carry out his evil wicked dastardly plan.

"At one point during the standoff it was rumored that Koresh was
planning to destroy a dam in the Waco area, presumably to initiate a
Noachian-type flood. The charge, it turned out, was predicated on a
letter Koresh had written in mid-April claiming that he had been
shown (presumably by God) "a fault line running throughout [the] Lake
Waco area," and that an "earthquake in Waco is something not to be
taken lightly." Even the FBI interpreted the letter to mean that the
Davidians intended to destroy a dam, but the agency was assuaged
after Koresh lieutenant Steve Schneider explained, in the words of
FBI spokesman Bob Ricks, that Koresh was merely "predicting a natural
disaster, and there is no criminal intent on his part nor is he
requesting anyone else take action on the part of David to fulfill
their prophecy."

Aw, Mom!

Just kidding. I rather hope those recurving models don't verify for Ivan making a third landfall.
