What is the record number of hits on/near FL in one season?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

What is the record number of hits on/near FL in one season?

I was just thinking whan an EXTREME season this has been for you poor folks in the Sunshine State. With the NOGAPS and CMC 12Z's on board with dual FL landfalls, I'm just wondering what the record is.

Bonnie
Charley
Frances (x 2)
Ivan (though Ivan hit Baldwin Co., Alabama, the damage was at least as severe in Escambia and parts of Santa Rosa Counties, FL).
Jeanne - maybe none, but potentially another 2 landfalls

And for what it's worth, Joe B think the Southern Gulf is the place to watch next week. Whether Ivan Part III is down there or whether it's a pattern entity, the movement down the line would be NE. Could it get any worse? FWIW, the UK Met 00Z also showed an area of closed circulation down there. But the 12Z run just shows a ripple off the TX coast with possibly some Jeanne Spawn left down in the Gulf.
