What was the most significant aspect of the 1933 hurricane season?

It had 21 named storms. Which was the most storms to ever form in the Atlantic basin ever! That was fellowed with the 19 storms that formed in 1995!

Actually, 21 storms in 1933 were the most ever in the Atlantic basin. But, none were named. We didn't start naming storms until 1953.
