Blob in Gulf (question)

Ok guys I again am confused. :roll:

Is the blob in the Gulf part of Ivan reborn or is it a NEW interest. I thought I read yesterday somewhere that it was new. That the NHC decided to reuse the L94 since they kept the name Ivan for Ivan reborn ( L90 I think).
Anyways just wanting to know is this just leftovers from Ivan or something new?

It was 94L invest earlier yesterday. However the invest was dropped. So development is unlikely. (It is something new... I hope... :eek:

)

No. Invest 94L was what became Ivan again. It was left as 94L and Ivan was created. However, they were the same system. THe system in the Gulf was just that...

Wha? Um no. Ivan was inland...94L Invest was a complete different entity.

Ok they looked like 2 seperate things. What, was the blob in the Gulf a group of thunderstorms way behind of Ivan reborn? When Ivan reborn was on the coast of LA this was in the Gulf.
I am a real novice so I may be looking at it all wrong. That is why I asked.

Ok Yoda that is what I thought. So I am NOT crazy. I was starting to think that I know less than I thought I did. (and I know very, very little in regards to weather)

They just didnt take 94l down when they changed it to Ivan.. I promise you they were one in the same.

It was not an invest...Look at the date/time on the stamp of the image....The "blob" was never anything except just a "blob"...

94L was put up before Ivan formed... it appears the NHC was going to give it a new name, but when it decided to just rename it Ivan, the Invest was no longer needed.
