I'm making my landfall call....NOW...

#1 Postby TPACane04 » Fri Sep 24, 2004 10:45 am

My landfall call for Ivan was made around the time he hit the Caymans..my call was "Panhandle" which admittedly was broad-brush but ultimately accurate, with respect to the very sad damage our friends up there had to endure. I forgot to come back and pinpoint a closer area with Ivan...so I will do so with Jeanne.

Jeanne call:

25 miles N/S of Palm Beach (gives you a range of Boynton Beach to Jupiter) at 3am Sunday morning.

Landfall strength estimate of 110-115 mph, Cat 2/3 border.

This call based PURELY on my amateur review of synoptics and upstream possibilities. This is not to be construed as anything but that! The pros at NHC should be your official guide and resource for information

I will not speculate on her path any further past landfall, other than to say that I hope she does not do a Frances and invade the FL west coast, but as I stated in a previous post, every possibility is on the board at this point. This poor state has had more misery than we can possibly endure already.

we'll see...............

I agree we still have too much debris and flooding from the past storms. The track has shifted to the left a little but as they say on BayNews9 these shifts happen and all we can do is wait and see. I want to see what wanye shaduck says at 12
