Update from Dade County - Mayor Penelas said that it's possible that 'cane warnings will be up as early as 5pm tonight, so it's possible that evac orders could be issued then. Just for us all to pay attention, be aware, and today is the day for preparations....

Volusia County will issue a mandatory evacuation order for the Beachside, mobile and manufactured homes and low laying areas this evening. Evacuation is voluntary now, but with become mandatory at 7 am Saturday morning. Shelters will open at that time (schools are open today so they can't get the shelters ready). Already having some problems finding regular gas in the Daytona/Ormond area.
