I remember when Ivan was a tropical wave coming west off the coast of Africa, the NHC was saying that conditions were not favorable for storm development.
I wonder what their ratio of correct predictions in this regard is.

May be an area to watch down the road 3-5 days perhaps, but as for now, nothing to pique the curiousity of those pesky bears. Let 'em sleep.

It does look impressive to me. But, our meterologists are not even mentioning it at all. They give us sunny weather all week. We only had a couple of very brief showers from Ivan Jr. It has been a long time since we seen any decent rain here. I wonder if it will be another Bill that spun up real fast and caught most people off guard.
