Jeanne going Inland..

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Fri Sep 24, 2004 2:37 pm

Just thought I'd ask you how far inland if at all you think Jeanne could go once she makes landfall here in Fla {assuming she does..}

If she goes far enough west.. she may cross the peninsula from east to west..

I don't see her making it into the Gulf, but anything is possible. I think she'll come in a little south of the NHC track and turn just a little later.

A tropical cyclone moving through the peninsula, across the south-central portion of the state into the extreme eastern Gulf of Mexico,
then north, north-northeast to northeast through the peninsula would be quite interesting... two landfalls, one on each coast.
