Well...let's see. Ivan is a very small storm. The convection over land has expanded today, but Houston is still within the subsidence on the outer skirts of Ivan. Of course the Houston area will get rain out of this...that is a given. It just won't be until another 24 hours. I'll be laughing at all this "no Houston rain talk" when you guys get dumped on. This moisture is pretty much gonna be trapped, and while a situation similar to Allison is very unlikely, the remnant low will be close enough to the city to give it daily chances through early next week.

There's nothing to cover. It'd be a waste of time and money to do so(loss of ads, plus having to repeat the programming later).

So is this rain still coming? It has been 24 hours and not a drop. I also am wondering if it will ever rain here again. Only a little more than an inch of rain since the end of June!!
I have serious doubts we will get anything other than a seabreeze shower, if that from Ivan's remains. We made it through Er last night, hope the "Tropical Truoble" doesn't boil over during JAG tonight.
