It's now looks very likely that Jeanne will come ashore over south florida. It appears based on the models that have handled the ridge the best that landfall will be between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. If the strengthening trend that is now underway continues this portion of florida may be dealing with a strong cat 3. In addition hurricane force wind gusts would be very possible as far south as S Miami and as far north as Melbourne.....At this point I'm now calling for a landfall near Delray Beach with sustained winds of 125mph.
