GN will you put the winds on this map the closer it gets to NC, if this hurricane doesn't go across or up FL. it shows the cone shows going up thre coast and will pass not far from us here in Lumberton Nc about an hour from myrtle bch ..thks. Marilyn

It's just proof that we can't just focus on the center of this thing. We already have been getting reports of beaches already under water. Daytona Beach is just one of the beaches already under water and we're 36 hours away from a projected hit on Daytona Beach, sooner than that further south. The bottom line, extreme beach erosion is likely and that will add to the woes already.

IMAGINE IT,
I will update this map all the way up the coast as this hurricane tracks Northward, so you will see the wind field in NC.

Doc,
I could paste the link but the problem is I delete the file and then upload a new one, so it won't work. In addition I don't have an index.htm set up. It should work though, don't know why it doesn't for you.

Miamom,
I will post updates on this thread so the picture you see now will be updated and replaced. You won't have to search for another new thread.

I Too, Am In NC...And In The Middle Of Moving..In About A Week! I'm Paying Close Attention, As I Had To Go To a Motel For Ivan...I'm In A Mobile Home...Flooding Was Terrible, In My County! It Was Hit Hard!

I will update it as often as the new advisories come out and I am at home. I won't be able to do the 5pm update, will be at the gym. I will try to update at 7pm, I should be back by then.
