I also fixed the center using a computer program (I do not use the web for sat imagery) and I got the same center as recon

Please help me out. How does your program measure pressure? Or, is that not important in determining center? What is necessary to pinpoint cyclone center?

Thank you.

a cyclone center is the pressure center, though at times, the wind center is different. The fact is, I fixed the wind center at the same location where recon found the pressure center.

also, the official 0Z position is 26.4N from the latest atcf guidance, closer to the southern fixes

Tisk Tisk.. Seems people are losing their tempers here.. LOL Well I would not call a drop of -.1 very significant. Its easy for the position to be off a tad when flying into it. Also was the previous position obtained by recon or was it estimated ? If the trend continues and the Recon comes back with multiple .-1 drops then maybe. Could also be the awkward looking eyeball of Jeanne throwing them off a little. Looks due west to me, with maybe a slight northward component (ever so slight). All we can do is see. Do not see this thing going south though, but stranger things can and will happen.
