Watch out Green Turtle, Marsh Harbour

#1 Postby KeyLargoDave » Sat Sep 25, 2004 2:11 am

The eye appears to be coming right at them, little chance of a miss now. And the first frames after the satellite eclipse show west, west, or even a bit of a WSW jiggle.

I'm surprised to see the outer clouds reaching onto the peninsula, although no convection here yet. People in the SW coast may not have nearly as much time in the morning without bad weather to finish preparations.

Agreed, Yoda.

For those that don't have it, here's the Miami NWS Nexrad site. Outer convection now showing up on short-range composite view:

Agreed. No need to divine a S component if it's not more than a few frames. With that southern side looking so healthy, it SEEMS closer to us on the south now!

Thanks for keeping an eye out, Rainband.

Latest frame on WV Loop shows ridge still BUILDING west. It's going to have to do some major backpedaling to make the NHC track.

Slight NW wobble on last frame...

Wobbles will make the difference on where landfall is...
