Well, these pictures are pretty and all, but they have the following problems:
1. They are only updated with the 6-hour NHC advisories.
2. They highlight the "LINE", bringing a potentially false sense to viewers.
3. They loose credibility really fast because seldom does the eye pass EXACTLY as forecast - and this is especially true if one views the map five hours or so after it was last updated (look at their IVAN landfall!!!!!)
Unfortunately, this is nothing more than a novelty - but it is pretty to look at! Because of it's margin for error, I'd vote against using this for anything other than entertainment value.

While I agree with #2...it sure was helpful during Ivan to see the projected wind radii that accompany the line in the graphics. Amended to say--I see that he/she/they have been releasing the pictures with the disclaimer to not concentrate on the line depicted, and that is good enough for me.
For someone like me who is unfamiliar with the exact locations of Florida or some East Coast cities, the Skeetobite map is very helpful in putting a visual with the locations being talked about or that are under poster's names.
