Should West Coast (Bay area) Prepare for....

THis is probably pretty ignorant but I was wondering, with the anticipated landfull within 18hours, what preparations should St.Pete/Tampa area begin making>>>>seems like nobody around here is watching jeanne and the complacency is quite apparent, the stores arent packed, the gas stations are with no lines.....I filled up yesterday and as Jeb said "prepared minimally", also with the preceeding threats of other hurricanes I had most of my supplies already. Regardless, I was wondering if we should be sandbagging...

Well it is possible that hurricane conditions may occur here with the Hurricane watch being issued here at 11am. People are not responding the way they should. This thing could blow up in our face if people aren't more cautious.

This still depends on the track. If it goes farther west we will definitely get hurricane force winds. As of now strong tropical storm force winds and hurricane gusts.
