Bastardi's note for today...

#1 Postby Steve » Sat Sep 25, 2004 11:03 am

He thinks that Jeanne has the potential to be the worst of the 4 storms to hit Florida this year. It has deepend farther than he thought (which was 955). He thinks its possible it could get 940 (even sub 940), believes landfall will be near Melbourne early AM, and prays that he is wrong. He also thinks his track would need to be adjusted 50 miles or so to the west, with hurricane conditions raking the coastline all the way to GA, and probably even the Carolinas.

He'll tweak his forecast later today, but the shot Jeanne could pull a "HUGO" is a big worry.
--------------------------------------------------------------
All you peeps down in FL, GA, SC, and NC have my prayers and well wishes that something happens to limit the damage and potential here. Yikes.
