Info from Port St. Lucie, Florida...

#1 Postby SouthFLTropics » Sat Sep 25, 2004 12:16 pm

Well, we are hunkered down in our home once again...it seems like we just did this! We have recieved some squalls from Jeanne, but nothing major yet. Hoping that power will remain for some time! I will post conditions as long as I can. I am anticipating as much or worse than Frances. If there is one bright spot, it is the fact that Jeanne will most likely move out of here pretty quickly and not torment us like Frances did. If anyone has any questions, please post and I will try and give an answer. I am monitoring HAM radio on my scanner. One beef that I have about this storm is it seems to me that emergency services did not give mandatory evacs in a timely manner. I mean, waiting till this morning seems a little late to me. Anyway...good luck to all of us in the path. We will survive, and get out and pick up the pieces. I just hope not to be without power for 9 days again. Probably wil though.

Wishing you all the best. Stay safe and please do keep us informed as long as you can. I don't envy anyone in Jeanne's path and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

It's getting a little old isn't it Eric??? Nice to see a fellow neighbor from PSL on the board. Take care...windy and rainy here in western PSL near Becker Road.
