how swell of you to come banging in with a "forecast" 30 hours prior to landfall....a dart thrower could have done the same thing..

where were your forecasts a week ago??

No forecasts a week ago were right, otherwise Jeanne would be out in the middle of the Atlantic.

Yesterday morning the NHC had a 95knot hurricane off the coast of Florida.

I think I'm doing an ok job, not to sound conceded or something

Thanks.

You sound really conceited according to the rest of your posts in here..but whatever. Confidence can be a virtue in this field, but not when you blast it from the mountain tops. People will realize when someone makes a good forecast, believe it or not. I guess some of us are just more humble than others though.

Here's my forecast for Port Saint Lucie today. It will be windy and it will rain.

It's called an opinion. You did just start an entirely new thread stating that your forecast is right. I'm not going through 900 million posts to look for other evidence of you talking up your forecast. You seem to be incapable of taking criticism...especially with regards to your observations of Jeanne from radar when she was barely on the long range.

But, congratulations, the storm is in between your two lines. The NHC's forecast is correct as well....as are many other's. This forecast is much better than yours for Ivan, which also mysteriously brought it very close to your location.

That's a rather conceited remark, don't you think? :)

Opinions????? This is just plain bashing. This kid has not done such a bad job. I don't think he is trying to be conceited, nor does he lack "humbleness". And at least he does say he is NOT a pro and he doesn't put the WX behind his name. When your Credentials can be verified, let me know, heh???
I have read you bashing more then one person on here today. Just want to know who wet in your cornflakes today??Coz you are on a roll. Stop being so mean to people, Thank You.

good grief, I think we are all a little sensitive these days.

Chris is a little excited because his forecast looks pretty good, give him a break.

Take a deep breath and relax everyone.

Actually, for those of you who don't know, Chris was forecasting this 3-4 days ago, so the 30 hour remark is nonsense. He showed no signs of being conceited at all, and so far you have not been able to show anything. Chris is about as far away from being conceited as you can get, and it's ridiculous that you are picking fights over a MESSAGE BOARD.

But I also realize I'm new and my opinion may not mean anything. So whatev, if that's the case.

S2K does not tolerate bashing of any kind. If you feel you have a problem with a member please take it to PMs and keep it off the board.

Let's get back to discussing this dangerous situation.

Ok, people relax. I suppose I misunderstood Chris's intentions and meanings. I did say in my post that it was a good forecast, I don't know when it was made, but I did see him post his link for the first time yesterday at 4:35 p.m. EDT precisely. I wasn't being facetious about kudos either.

FYI, MB, I have a Bachelor's in meteorology and have less than a year left on my Master's. I think I have the credentials to contradict, verify, or comment on other's opinions and forecasts. Because I am not officially employed as a meteorologist, S2K won't put my credentials up here. That's fine w/ me, but everyone should understand that I know what I'm talking about.

Also, MB, I have not been bashing anyone. I have gotten into some very heated debates w/ both Chris and Sanibel. If they are offended they can PM me and I will back off. I was seeing things differently than them, and trying to help everyone else on this board understand meteorology a little better. Anything else???
