Website update/ change

#1 Postby JetMaxx » Mon Apr 07, 2003 2:02 am

Tonight I added a second page on my website....a tribute to all American heroes that have served their nation.

I also removed the link to a wonderful POW-MIA website in Hendersonville, Tennessee. I did this because several friends of the Lynch family have/ are emailing the link to my site to the family in Germany.

There is the likelyhood her mom, dad and siblings (possibly even Jessica herself) will view my site in the next day or two (via a laptop computer). I don't want anything that could bring harm to Jessica (i.e.- seeing her friends names and photos). I'm not sure she knows they are gone...in fact I doubt she knows...doctors now believe she was uncouscious much of her captivity due to the excrutiating pain

God Bless,
Perry

Fabulous Perry!
I was wondering though..since this is more or less a cyber family here at Storm2K..if there is any way YOU could attach a guestbook or signature list,so that we could all include a note of thanks and get well soon from each of us and our respective hometowns?I did something similar after Hurricane Keith when I went to Belize and some folks from WWBB and TWC added a kind thought. It was most welcome, and overwhelming.
Is this possible?Let us know ASAP..I would like to be the first to say how proud I am of her and her band of heroes..from Oro Valley,Arizona..USA!
BTW,this idea was not exclusively mine.I forwarded your site to John McCain's wife Cyndy, whom I have had the oppotunity to work with in the past for Special Needs Kids. She loved your tribute! It's getting around buddy!

I'm definitely not a computer geek DJ, but can think of two possibilities...

I can start a thread and give the link to sign my guestbook
http://guestbooks.pathfinder.gr/sign/JetMaxx

OR....maybe a better idea is start a thread titled
"Send Jessica Lynch a get well message" --and after everyone signs, I could then post a link to the Storm2k Get Well thread on my website...

Jessica clicks on the link--and wallah, she sees everyone's messages...

I'm going to try that...and if anyone has a better idea, I'm all ears.

Thanks DJ....I really appreciate the compliments. I wish I'd added a page for all veterans...all our heroes earlier (I'd almost forgotten how to create a website).

God Bless You,
Perry

DJ...thanks for forwarding the website link to Senator and Mrs McCain.

I created the site for only one reason...to let that brave little lady lying in the hospital know we're proud of her, and we love her. I now feel like I'm the big brother to four little sisters :)

Again, thanks DJ!!!

You are most welcome Perry!
In the midst of the euphoria that we are all feeling, with the siege of Baghdad,we must remember that some fierce fighting is still taking place and as of the latest reports, two US Marines were killed in a Tank/Artillery exchange on the NE side of the city.
Jessica may or may not be privy to the latest reports,so we must be careful in our well wishes.Review them carefully,as innocent as they may be,we should remind ourselves of the horrors Jessica endured. Also,if Storm2ks' domain is referenced, make sure you have it cleared by Admin.
You may chose,BTW,to simply add an attatchment to your tribute with a special link to the greetings/well wishes.Remember also, she is innundated with thousands of such e-mails and letters,so be sure to highlight your original correspondence to her and her family,as they most likely will recognize your name.
Take Care,and well done!
