Kevin, please keep posting your updates! I have to get ready for work soon and won't have access to the site, but my family will be monitoring the storm and reading here for additional information.

Thank you from northern Lee County!

My brother lives in Cape Coral but has been here in Michigan visting for a few days. Yes, he buttoned the house up before he left.

He is scheduled to fly back into Ft. Myers tomorrow (Sun.) night. Anyone have any word or opinion on the whether the airport will be open at that point?

Northwest has not yet cancelled or changed his flight. However, waiting for that might only make it more difficult to rebook a seat on a flight later.

Kevin_Cho wrote:JusLimin. Fort Myers (SW FLorida International) may be cancelling flights however i'm not sure when. They airport authority has reported some winds but nothing major. Flights will continue until Tropical Storm force conditions begin to affect the Lee/Collier County area. I wouldn't be surprised if the airport was closed tommorow night, but i'm not completely sure, my dad is heading back to another EOC meeting teleconference meeting for Lee/Collier Counties. I'll have him ask the Naples Airport Authority reps about SW FL International (Fort Myers). I'll get back to you on that as soon as I can.

Thanks, Kevin, I would appreciate any info you are able to get.
