It seems like the winds are much stronger than Frances, here in WPB. The only thing that makes me hopeful is the fact that Jeanne is moving faster...and the fact we still have power (for now)

Jeanne is ever so slighty north of where Frances was. (Either that or the eye of Jeanne is a bit smaller)

Does anyone remeber what direction Frances was taking when she came ashore there? Are we looking at the same course across the sate or more SW?

As I remember it, Frances landed at Sewall's Point. Just about the same place Jeanne is coming in now.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

They showed the tracks of Charley, Frances and projected track of Jeanne as they traversed/will traverse Central FL about an hour ago on my local FOX channel. It was interesting to see that Jeanne's projected track is almost exactly the same as Frances's, but just about 50 miles north all through central FL to the Gulf.

I asked somebody during Frances what the distance was between Ft. Pierce and West Palm, because Frances squeezed right between them. This looks like the same radar loop I was looking at that night. More overtime for the power crews. They've got to be dead on their feet.

Yep---I remember wondering what was about "10 to 15 miles" South of Ft. Pierce, as well...
