our area (Citrus County) can expect to see conditions very similar to the NoName Storm of 1993, including a huge storm surge. He was on Channel 13 via phone from the EOC.

This area was devastated by the NoName.

Also, deputies went past our house about a 1/2 hour ago with the bullhorns, announcing "mandatory evacuation."

No one in our neighborhood is leaving.

Dixiebreeze,

Please be careful....don't pull another Jeremy on us. Please keep us informed as long as possible. Be safe and know you will be in our hearts and prayers. I know you are as prepared as one can possibly be but please don't take any unneccesary chances.

Do you remember the coffee recipes??? LOL
Take care, friend,

Lynn, please send the coffee recipes again! Someone deleted the "Survival Poll" thread and I hadn't printed all the tips out yet. Wish I had access to that thread.

Look, I know this isn't exactly the time to ask questions about it, and maybe I will post something about it after the storm passes, but...

why are you staying in your homes during a mandatory evactuation?

maybe because they are a whole state away from a landfalling min-cat3 hurricane!!

the sheriff sounds a little loopy.
