Man it sure looks like ths wants to shoot right across Fl and into the GOM. Does anyone know if land will actually make a storm turn (i.e. Ivan and Jamaica) or is it just coincidence?

Hmm.. according to 11 PM track.. the center of Jeanne should stay on FL.. but the western side could go over the GOM.

That's in keeping with both Mike Watkins' and Derek Ortt's predictions. I've feared and (suspected this track for several days) and am now "rushing preparations to completion". (filling bathtub, making another bag of ice. Also, moved the weatherband radio to our bedroom where we can hear it if tornadoes are in the area. (Like I'll really be sleeping!!!).

I feel so for the people on the East Coast. It looks as if it is horrible over there. Here's wishing safety to all.
