Eye appears tightening dramatically just before landfall
looks like last minute strengthening..... maybe cat 4.....Eye very clear, well defined, perhaps looking better than ever....

Say what??????? You need to look at some more resources. The eye has been undergoing a replacement cycle, which is why wind speed is actually decreasing if anything.
