Eye appears tightening dramatically just before landfall

looks like last minute strengthening..... maybe cat 4.....Eye very clear, well defined, perhaps looking better than ever....

Say what??????? You need to look at some more resources. The eye has been undergoing a replacement cycle, which is why wind speed is actually decreasing if anything. :roll:

yeah right. NWS has been so far off; survey of damage tomorrow will tell the real story; not your "resources"

Are you implying that recon continues to send back false, incorrect wind speed measurements?

By the way, hurricanes aren't categorized by the damage caused.
