Cape, I would expect that you will see 50 mph winds there. If you mean sustained, maybe. Gusts... easily a YES. The chance of Jeanne going into the gulf are unlikely... but it could happen.

Here's what we've been experiencing along the N.Naples coast:
9/25/04
10:08:19 PM CURRENT MIN/MAX RATE
Temperature (ºF) 77.5 73.7 / 84.6 0.2
Humidity (%) 84.2 62.8 / 90.5 0.4
Wind (mph) NW 36.8 NW 43.0
Daily Rain (") 0.06 0.16 "/h at 16:05 0.00
Pressure ("Hg) 29.56 29.56 / 29.87 0.02
Pressure has done a huge drop in the last couple of hours after Wunderground reported it was rising! No wonder we old folks have a headache.

Good job Kevin; I like seeing a 15 year old with a lot of sense (y'all are the future) and keeping your area informed. I think you'll be fine- we have yet to even have our power flicker in SW Dade- less wind than with Frances which surprised me a lot since I thought Jeanne would be worse based on how she looked on satelitte. You just never can tell with these storms...
