SW Florida Reports

Gusty winds, now. Power back as of 7am, it was out since 1:30. Got to use the generator. Looks like we lucked out here, Jeanne is only 100 miles North of us.

We lucked out with power so far. Same conditions here- winds around 40-45, gusts to 51. Going back to bed. See you all later.

I knew that storm would not move North. We are extremely lucky that this thing did take a Northward turn, otherwise we could have been looking at an eyewall. Although it's hard to be happy about this when others aren't as lucky as we have been. We are praying for their safety.

Never lost power on Ft Meyers beach (yet), but the winds seem stronger then they were during Frances. Not as much water.
