just heard on the news that recon found 947 mb at landfall (isn't that what Ivan went in at) granted windspeed likely had not responded to that pressure drop at the time, but i think 120mph sounds right

actually, Ivan came in with a pressure in low 930s

947?? Its a good thing she was going through an ERC, or else we would have seen 130 or more at landfall.

The FSU met that spoke at the news conference before Governor Bush did said Ivan came in with a 947 mb pressure. He also mentioned the other things posted.
