Movement

#1 Postby rugrats4 » Sun Sep 26, 2004 9:28 am

Hello all first time posting, actually just found this board yesterday. I have a question, it seems all eyes are on the movement. Our local met here in Panama City just did an update and she(not one of my favorite mets, but oh well!!) said it looks like it is still going west. Then she just reiterated the NHC projected path, just out of curiosity how far into the GOM do you think this will go? They are not calling for any change in weather here...just to be somewhat windy.
Any input would be appreciated.

Welcome to Storm2K, rugrats. Thanks for joining. How did you find us? :)

The chances are not that high for Jeanne to make it that far into the Gulf of Mexico. The official forecast is calling for the storm to take a turn into the extreme northeastern Gulf. I believe there is still a chance that it may move a bit east of that track.

Thanks for the welcome ColdFront! I actually found you listed on the bottom of another message board, and had read that the posts here were very informative so thought I'd come on over and take a look.

I don't expect Jeanne to hit west of say Apalachicola, and that's a stretch. Probably be a lot like Frances...

Frances made landfall 60 miles northeast of Apalachicola.
