Can Jeannie do an Ivan?
Do (or will) the atmospheric conditins exist for Jennie like they did for Ivan after he exited the east coast??

It looks as if all of Jeanne will get caught up in the westerlies. With Ivan, a very strong ridge ended up building to the S and W of the storm, so it was able to curve S and SW on the E and SE side of the clockwise motion. W/ Jeanne, a ridge will build to the west, but a much stronger ridge will be to the SE of the storm, so the winds on the NW side will be able to stear everything to the NE. What happened w/ Ivan is a rarity that we will probably never see in our lifetimes again.

I always wondered about world-wide conditions and the recycling of weather systems. Are you SERIOUS here?

For the record - I was JOKING!
But since residual mid-level vorticity is all that is required for a storm to keep its same previous name, then the NHC now needs to track all these vorticity centers around the world just to make sure we keep the names straight.

so for the record...frances did NOT strike twice...ivan was reborn...and the NHC has opened up Pandora's box with the name game?
