Moving north!

On Radar from tampa it looks like almost due north (lets not get into semantics, I mean towards Ocala) and not into Gulf... will it be a strong tropical storm over Marion County? I think so. We're getting intense gust fronts... gusts are as bad as Frances. Winds are lighter.

Give it an hour of N movement before making any decisions, these things do wobble inland too.

I was looking at the loop and the eye wall seemed to disappear then I watched the loop of the larger convection and it looks wnw maybe nw wobble here and there

The storm is in full recurve, despite what some people are claiming...

Janice Dean on Fox News just said that it looks like it moving more north now, and there could be a change in the NHC track since the 11am advisory. And I'm looking at radar it looks like it's moving NNW to me but it's too soon see if this is just a wobble or an actual trend.

I measure about 335-337 degrees for the past hour and 327 degrees over the past 2 hours. Definitely making a turn. Doesn't look like the center will emerge into the Gulf now.

Looks like a wobble north then nnw now it looks wnw. Steve Jervy on channel 8 agrees :wink: NHC is on track or close to it.

Yep. Was just a wobble. Will probably just brush the gulf though.
