I have a feeling those guys lost power. I am in FLL and they live about 7 miles WNW of my location and i went out last night and shot vidoe and i could see the transormers blowing about every 30 seconds in that general direction. You know its a transformer because of the blue green color...same deal with frances. this time i didnt lose power. it sure seemed like the winds were more intense last night than frances yet only 70k lost power in broward while in frances it was around 800k. Maybe they secured the lines better after Frances but it is rather strange. minor damage around fll...very few trees down vs. frances..i think frances did the survival of the fittest work. i thinkwe are done with these major landfalling hurricanes but i see a big rain producer for florida before the season ends. what a year.
