#1 Postby JTD » Sun Sep 26, 2004 12:16 pm

CNN's Wolf Blitzer was just interviewing a red cross official in Washington and he said the 4 hurricanes over the past month have led to the largest Red Cross disaster relief ever in history.

The Red Cross needs donations. I strongly plead for donations to be made to the Red Cross. I heard a presentation just this past Thursday, here in New Orleans, from a Red Cross official and their difficulties with the hurricanes. A large group of us made donations after the presentations.

To donate, one can go to the local chapter or you can make a donation on the red cross website online.

The Red Cross was great last year during Isabel. My street didn't have power for nine days, and even though most of my area got power back within a few days, the Red Cross truck still came on my street to deliver lunch and supper to us and did so until my street got power back.
