One of the Orlando stations has a reporter in Indian Harbour Beach. The damage did not seem to be that severe. The ocean apparently did not breach the dune lines. Some street flooding on the beaches was reported. I spoke to a friend who stayed at a house on a canal between the causeways and he said it was not that bad. He drove through Indialantic and said it looked good. My home still has power in the city of Indialantic and telephone works as well.
Check flatoday.com for updates. They say the causeways are closed.

Wow, memory flashback! I grew up in IHB, glad to hear no huge problems there (I lived there when Mathers Bridge was still made of wood, with a huge crank to open it and the bridgetender would *let us* kids go 'round and 'round to open it up...fishing dates, shrimping, first view most had of a *naked* woman was the painted mermaid on the waterwheel of the fishcamp on the MI end of the bridge - much is gone but the memories are alive and well).

Shrimping off of Mather's bridge. That does bring back memories.
