Here's a grammar lesson for you: You don't start a sentence with the word "And".

Bad lesson. It's not true. It is a common misconception, though.

I love that link that Calidoug posted which said that the English lesson was unnecessary. And I enjoy the fact that calidoug is great for finding links to support anything he posts here !!!

"Deadcities" [cute name...],

In addition to misunderstanding grammar (despite pedantically correcting others), you fail to grasp the basics of the windfield of this hurricane... no sane person would expect the beaches to be the worst hit for this storm...

Take a look at this map

http://www.jea.com/report/CurrentOutages.asp ...

Do you still think you can refute word of folks who are actually experiencing it...

Unless you can refute this map, please just and go away...

Pets have a "sense" with approaching storms like hurricanes, and the same can be said about earthquakes as well ... as they are apparently, very sensitive to changes ...

In regards to Jeanne, the pressure falls are probably what they are responding to, and the same can be said about my animals here (in the Charleston area ... BOTH have been abnormally inactive, and more ... clingy)

SF

SF, are you expecting anything severe there????? Other then what your discussion says. Animals being clingy. Maybe that is why all the frogs in the pond out back have migrated to the breezeway??? (the croaks are killing me here)

Not yet, but we've had some scattered very heavy rains that have already added up to over an inch of rain ... but the shear is clearly evident just a few minutes ago, with a very strong E LLJ (in the order of 40-50 kts), and at the mid-levels, SE flow at 30-40 kts ...

Shear Parameters are increasing along the South Carolina from CHS southward with the greatest indicies right now over extreme SE GA just N of JAX ...

Uh oh ... SPC just issued a MESO DISC for the area .. and a WW is likely in the next hour or so ...

Thanks for the spelling lesson. Here's a grammar lesson for you: You don't start a sentence with the word "And".

Actually, to quote The Elements of Style, "clarity, clarity, clarity." To quote myself: if "and" serves to transit a concept from one sentene to another, thus providing clarity, it's proper.

Nearly constant tornado warnings as a particularly nasty band is coming around. My boat which is high up on a lift is now floating with the high tide! Glad I tied it off too.

And most unfortunately, 2 15 yr old boys were outside in their Orange Park riverfront backyard and a tree fell on them. One dead, one hospitalized. So tragic.

I just found out today that my he was my Project Manager's son's best friend. :( When I heard he lived in Fleming Island I thought he might have known him. And he did.
