Will Ivan come back again? This is not a joke question!

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Will Ivan come back again? This is not a joke question!

Watching one of of our local OCM's tonight he showed the "remnants" of Ivan which are now over NE Mexico(just a few showers) and pointed out that they were moving East towards the GOM. Said we will be watching them to be sure nothing happens. He didn't seem to lean one way or the other as to anything developing. I'm not really sure why or how he identified them as the remnants of Ivan, but he did show it as a low on his map. My understanding was that even by surface pressures Ivan's remnants could not be identified 2 days ago when they were SW of Houston. I of course will be watching it closely, but at this point do not expect anything.

Well you know, this summer, I almost would expect something!

I'm not sure I'd be suprised if Ivan came back, regenerated over the Glades and then rained alligators on Stuart.

Let's hope not! How about some tropical peace and quiet for a while?

As crazy as things have been this year, nothing would surprise me. Besides with Ivan I have opted to call him "Ivan the Energizer" cause he keeps going and going and going...

It was mentioned a few days ago in New Orleans, as well. We'll have to wait, and see....

You know, one thing I'm not hearing about are the gators. More than a few should be displaced by now, especially from the large lake in Seminole County bursting at the seawalls.

The remnants of Ivan have been completely dissappated since Saturday. There is no way Ivan can be brought back to life.

That's what they all said about Jesus 2 millennia ago and about Ivan last week and look what happened in both cases.

HPC issued its last advisory on Saturday regarding Ivan and the thing has COMPLETELY dissipated ... there also would be no doubts this time that a new name would be given ...

I saw the same report 2 days ago but I could make out what was left of the low right around Victoria based on winds and vis loop. I tracked it into NE Mexico but I had know idea it was sneaking about around. BOC is nice and toasting but that dam shear all year will rip it apart once again.....if it makes that far...

I saw that on the news last night too, VB... I was like "No Way!".. I guess time will tell... Some rain would be nice.. Maybe they will get it right the second time.. I didn't get ANY rain outta Ivans appearance here last week... Nada, not one drop! They were sooo off with the 70-90% chances of rain... I was so disappointed!
