It's nice to wake up and not hear the wind howling overhead. It's also nice to not have hurricane coverage on every TV channel (a necessity, but I'm plum worn out). Besides the normal organic debris littering the ground, shingles and other various items I can't name have come off neighbor's roof and a mailbox down the street has been turned backwards.
The sun is out - I'm so amazingly happy to see that gaseous orb again!
Family left as soon as curfew was lifted (I've been loving the family time); there's some cleanup to handle outside; and I might insist hubby take down the plywood finally (been up on the large front window since Frances).
Hubby just came home to make coffee for his store. Home Depot is out of electricity and the floors were soaked (Nardelli needs to pay more attention to his stores than to Aerosmith at Disney, but I digress...). So far it's been slow, so I guess folks really are going into hibernation mode to recuperate.
