Same here, Bron. Just alot of trees and powerlines down. Not really much in the way of structural damage, but a few shingles were blown off my neighbor's roof and ended up near my driveway. All in all we SHOULD consider ourselves extremely lucky. Folks In orange, Seminole, and Volusia Counties didn't do anywhere near as well as we did or for that matter the majority of the I-4 corridor.

Im glad to hear you did ok, I was thinkin about you and your family! Your so right, we were extremely lucky.

Thanks, and we were thinking about you as well. A difference in the track of only 5 to 10 miles more northwest would have made a world of difference --- for the worst that is.

I survived.

LOL, we didn't get anything, not even any clouds. Charley actually made our weather nicer than normal(combined with that front that caused him to go to SW FL).

Well, I thought I got off with no problems, but my power finally went out early this (Monday) morning. Charley made a limb lean on a power line and that finally pulled loose this morning. So I'm probably going to be one of the last to get restored since it only affects five houses.

Right now I'm using my generator to get on line, so I won't be checking back very often. I'm praying for all in Florida who were affected.

Bronnie and USA...so glad you guys made it with minimal damage...there was a lot of concern for both your families! My mom in Daytona is still without power, will be for a while she hears, but she fared better than most also! She lost all her scrub oaks, her palms survived, but are beaten, and has a leaky roof...a neighbors aluminum room is wrapped around the phone pole in Moms yard...extensive damage throughout the beachside, and my old neighborhood in S. Daytona got it pretty bad...We are very thankful for the way things turned out, considering....

Thanks for the updates all of you affected by Charley. I know it will be a long while before some of the communities affected get back onto their feet. My prayers are with all of you in those efforts.

Thanks. I'm just greateful that the loss of power, and a few down trees was our biggest concern.

I am so happy your damages were minimal: USAwx1, Amanzi, and OrlandoDad!! Our members of the S2K community are truely blessed!! We continue to pray for the continued recovery in the Punta Gorda area, and all others effected by Hurricane Charley!! Next time somebody in chat says " I want to experience a hurricane", maybe they should have a personal chat with some of our members who's lives have been dramatically altered by hurricanes!!

Well, here we go again... Checking in from Lake Worth , Fl.(Palm Beach County, watching Jeanne). Just got through with Frances and felt comfy enough to buy frozen food again.. wrong!! Getting weary of this now! Best to everyone out there wherever Jeanne might land.. Will post when power comes on, since I'm sure it will be out again...

Checking in from lakeland, FL where we are getting a little fine mist of rain and cloud cover. We have taken the precaution of disconnecting the new TV antenna to prevent the damage that Charley and Frances did to our old one. Lose items have been secured as best we can do. Will check in from time to time as long as we have power still.

Have power! Only limbs down and no damage.

Took my mother to the ER just a few hours before the storm arrived due to edema and breathing difficulty.They performed surgury to reduce fluid buildup around her heart DURING the storm last night!! She is resting comfortably and stable.

Gusts are still strong here, but there is noticible improvement.

A light! I see a light at the end of the tunnel! :-)

Hi fellow Jeanne survivors!

Whew...made it through a very noisy and nerve-wracking night of a ga-zillion mph winds (at least!) and heavy rain...was flooded-in come the a.m., but thanks to Jeep, made it out and actually found coffee! No trees fell this time *yay*, poor neighbor has two! Only lost power 12 hours...am definitely grateful!

Learned a valuable lesson through this! I won't ever stay home for another one...especially a cat 3!

Misty, foggy, about 25mph winds here now in South GA. Center of Jean is now in Moultrie, GA. I called my parents there, and they said it's really calm; so I guess Jeanne still has an "eye" of sorts. All the hotels here in Valdosta, GA are full of Florida evacuees; and I'm glad to report we got through the night with just a gentle brush, compared with our neighbors southward. About one-third of my office made it in to work this morning; over half of the folks here reported no power, still, this morning. There are some flooded areas, notably the Chadwick Subdivision. Big pine branches whacking my house awakened me around 1:30 a.m. It was pretty noisy with wind and rain then; but I had five flashlights, my weather radio, a police scanner, and my 15-year old Siamese cat to keep me company. According to the scanner, the police, firemen, public works folks, and power company had a busy night, constantly dealing with downed trees and power lines across roads. Coming into work today, I saw some big downed pine trees, one right through the roof of a house on Jerry Jones Drive; another on the VSU campus. Co-workers reported more downed trees; one said the pattern in his neighborhood looked like a "path" which made him wonder if there hadn't been a small tornado. Anyway, we were lucky here; and I am hoping the best for our Florida guests, when they return home tomorrow. I'm part of the Red Cross damage assessment team here; I'm guessing they'll send us out late this afternoon or in the morning to the flooded areas here.
