Sw carribean development-late week

#1 Postby Vortex » Mon Sep 27, 2004 11:17 am

12z Nogaps continues to indicate development of a tropical cyclone late this week in the western carribean. If this verifies the oceanic heat content is very high and the upper air pattern will be ideal for continued strengthening as the cyclone slowly moves north into the NW carribean.

The map won't load on dial-up.

At this time it takes it into the Yucatan, but certainly this bears watching, as the ridging to the north could be weaker.

if this forms, its oging west. at this point its more likely that us on the western Gulf coast have to worry rather than you guys. I could use a bit of local weather excitement here.

The GFS picks up this developement also.....but as most storms this late seem to want to go N/NE so those poor FL people might have something else to worry about but this time on the west coast....God, I feel bad for those people....

Thanks for your feelings, Looks like Texas has been the luckiest state in the 2004 hurricane season.

Nope, huh uh, three is enough. Got enough fire wood already to supply a small town, spent what seems like forever without power during three storms, and we have to wade water in our yard. The only thing private about our privacy fence is in the name. I quit, and in the spirit of sharing, someone else can have the next one. We don't want to hog all the fun!

Don't you need a storm first (Low)?
