Where do I send donations?

I hope they recover soon. I'm in tears over here. I'm sure the estimated cost of damage will be enormous.

It's their own fault. Plastic chairs aren't Dade County approved.

Looks like they're going to have to do something about the building codes over there. I hope they recover from this, it's so tragic!!! :)

Watch out, they are very socialist. They will have to buy a new plastic chair for every resident in Sweden.

you DO know that if you put that chair back in its original position and it blows over again, you'll have to pay a SECOND deductable on your insurance....even though it hasn't really been fixed yet :)

Wonder what the death toll is for the bugs that were under the chair....could be total devastation for an ant colony.... :)

But wait! That chair wasn't installed properly! Each leg is supposed to be fastened to the deck with one 3/16-inch galvanized spiral deck screw at least 2-1/2 inches long with neoprene collar and fender washer. In addition, a 2-inch nylon web "hurricane strap" (similar to a seat belt) is supposed to be secured across the seat and fastened to two, 1-1/2 inch u-bolts with galvanized locknuts secured beneath the decking.

They must not have pulled a permit before putting those out there. See, this is why we have building codes!

That's it!! I'm calling the zoning board. We can't allow people to build unsturdy, unsafe structures without government permission!!
