When will Jeanne turn more towards the East?

#1 Postby floodprone » Mon Sep 27, 2004 5:06 pm

Here in Western Carolina we've been told to prepare for upwards of 60 MPH winds tonight along with rain rain rain. I thought this thing was supposed to turn NE and move across the piedmont...When is that supposed to happen. I'm watching it inch closer to me every minute...

We were told we would have rain all day here too.
Nothing since this morning. I am bummed. I was counting on football and soccer practices being cancelled and having a quiet evening at home for once.
So I am off to a football game at 7:30. Watch, it will start raining THEN.

It's moving NE now. Rain will be over in Atlanta before Midnight.

Thanks, Lynn! Glad I got home safely too. The drive wasn't much fun at all, but I'm grateful I'm in one piece and safely home.

Now....if this *(%$#@ rain would move on out so I don't need to borrow my brother's SCUBA gear (he's an underwater archaeologist based off Treasure Coast), I'll be really really happy!!

I made an error. I meant the rain will be OVER in Atlanta by Midnight. I know it's been raining all day...

No...my mistake comletely. I didn't read for content...when I went back and re-read what you wrote, it made sense.

I'm just anxious to see this stuf BE GONE. We've gotten Frances (not too bad), Ivan (TERRIBLE) and now Jeanne. I'm sorry, but if I wanted to deal with Hurricanes....I'd move to FL. We are at least a 5 hour drive from ANY beach....ARGHHHHHHHHHH.

Suffice to say, I am well more than fed-up, and I've not nearly the right to complain as the people in FL (including my parents and brother in Cent. FL).

Jeny

PS. I think I'm gonna be absolutely ADDICTED to this forum once we move into winter-weather season. THAT is my favorite weather to watch.

No worries. It's all good...as long as Jeanne doesn't camp out in our area and finds another playground!

Same here...I moved from Florida in May. Lived there my entire 49 years and only dealt with Donna...Moved up here and have had more hurricane inspired weather in the past three weeks than I care to deal with...two 100 year floods in 8 days time...mudslides...landslides...

I too am looking forward to winter weather. Definately the reason I moved. Is 49 to old to snowsled???

Nope! You're only as young as you feel (or whatever the saying is). If your mind is up to it and your body is willing....I say GO FOR IT!
