I was just thinking about Ivan............

did any of you have a DAVIS weather station that can record winds and gust.Reason I ask is I saw damage like that after Hugo and Ivan was very close in size and wind speed.Even the reported gust was the same.Only IF someone have one these home weather stations then we can get answers.One note the weather stations either run on battery power or soloar power.I am getting one at BassPro shops very soon.I think it would be worth the money.

I doubt you will find many anemometer's surviving over there close to Ivans eastern eyewall destruction. Unless a person stuck the thing way out in a large open field it would have likely been hit by debris. I've been over there and it is amazing, looks like a large F-4 tornado went through and this a full week after clean-up already had begun.
