I don't know If I'm coming down with another bout of it.. But these 3 storms have actually worn me out, and that's rare since I'm an avid fan of these storms.
Looking at the piles of debris from Charley that haven't even been picked up is beginning to be depressing lol..
Not to mention I was sleepless Sat. night because I wanted to stay up and watch some of our worst weather come through.. It was kinda cool watching it.. but the curfew we had made me anxious to wanna venture out..
But I'm trying to stay sane lol.. At least my lights came back rather quick

Even though Jeanne was worse, I don't feel nearly as stressed as I did with Frances. Having electricity would be nice. But I definitely learned saome things from Frances which helped me prepare for and deal with Jeanne much better than Frances. There aren't even any long lines at the gas station this time but ice and water are still in great demand. Luckily, I have a great employer that has been just sensational in helping employees and their families out.

Actually, I'm experiencing my first bit of euphoria (although the Redskins lost last night so things COULD be better) because for the first time in six weeks there is nothing waiting in the wings in the tropics to hit us again. Jeanne took my power away at 420am Sunday morning, but I got it back at 1040pm the same night. Charley took away my power for four days, and Frances for two days. Usually, I'm one of the very last in the county to get mine back. My friend who lives less than a block away in the same development still doesn't have power, so I'm lucky. We had them stay over last night.
Although the last six weeks have been rough, my roof is damaged and my kitchen is water-damaged from Charley, and my business has lost thousands during the aftermath of the three storms, Jeanne did very little damage (mainly because Charley and Frances shook everything that was going to fall loose) and I feel that everyone is about to get back to normal and start spending money again which will hopefully help everyone recover the losses of the last six weeks.
So I'm incredibly optimistic and although life is crazy trying to juggle all of the regular daily grind plus getting the house and business repaired, things are looking MUCH better today than it has been at any time since the first week of August!
