Actually that picture of the Condo with the block wall gone is even east of Destin in SW Walton County what is known as Miramar Bch. and all that damage titled Ivan Damage 001 to 027 is same area mostly along Scenic Hwy. 98 and then the last two at the Circle K by my hood.

Do you know how Seaspray Condos on Okaloosa Island faired? We stayed there back in June and I was wondering.
I was on Okaloosa Island today to look at some damage (Contractor here) and it looks UNBELIEVABLE, alot of wind caused structure damage to Condos and homes and alot of sand from all the storm surge. Have to go back tomorrow as the Condo's I needed to get too were still being bulldozed out from the sand and will let you know.

Right, I recognize the Circle K there right at the eastern end of the Scenic Highway near the...Winn Dixie? (used to be Bruno's) and Silver Sands.

My parents have a condo in one of the buildings with green roofs on page 1. (Maravilla) Property management says they hope to have the roof taken care of, the sprinklers repressuized and reinspected and the elevators reinspected fairly soon, and to have the units that didn't suffer water damage back renting in mid October.
Their unit came through the storm dry- not even damp carpet and they're on the top floor. (I'd guess the storm damaged the interiors for maybe 20-25% of the units. ) And they've already had the realtors calling them up asking if they want to sell, and the realtors won't shut up even when Mom says they aren't even thinking of it until they can do a 1031 in February.
Cox Cable has about 2-3 hours of their public access channel crew filming storm damage from S. Walton to Pensacola after the storm done one if by land, two if by sea, three if by helicopter format. They aired it pretty unedited a couple times on pubilc access in the days after the storm. If anyone's ubermotivated, there might be some way to get ahold of a copy of that video. (Though I'm not sure how)

Right you are and actually Siver Sands Outlet had a wall along a store front blown over out into the parking lot.

Have Not been that far out on Holiday Isle, but I can almost assure you they sustained some sort of damage to at least the lower portion from the surge. Sand was 6-8' high along Gulf Shores Dr. going out to Holiday Isle.

We live in Destin and I recognize all these places in these pictures. I have to say that the pictures DO NOT do justice to any of the damage. In the Ridge Wood Manor subdivision, and on my street alone, there are numerous houses that lost roofing shingles that allowed the rain in, and the ceilings to collapse. From the outside of the homes, you wouldn't know the damage except for the roofing shingles missing. We were very fortunate to have absolutely no structural damage... no shingles missing, just one section of fencing down, and limbs and branches all over the yard. For some reason, the next street over has much more roofing damage than my street. Out of roughly 50 homes here, there may be 5 or 6 with no damage to the homes.

Thanks for taking the time to post all of those. Isn't it crazy to be looking at all the damage when the sun is shining, and the sky's are blue, and there's barely a breeze outside? And then closing your eyes and remembering the sound of the wind and the look of the trees and rain when the storm was passing you by?
