Went to dinner tonite at a local restuarant/bar. There were twelve volunteers from MONTANA Bridges Fire. We bought them a round of drinks to thank them for helping out FL in our time of need.

Awesome out of state people coming in to help us. Treat them well!

Of course those drinks weren't sodas... Good gesture nonetheless.

Way to go Terry. Personally I am so very thankful for all those who have left their homes and families to come and help us in our hour of need.

me too - can't imagine having to be away from your family for 6 weeks as some have been. yes, they are getting paid, but don't have to do it. things are really returning alot quicker here after jeanne. hard to believe it has only been 3 days!
hopefully some visit this site so they will know how grateful we are.

Got my power back on Monday morning. Frances took 5 days but a Progress Energy truck came driving by th ehouse slowly, saw it was a North Carolina truck. My neighbor and I whistled and he gave a smile as he rode on and looked up in the lines to see what was happening. I'd give them a kiss if they were close enough ;-)

THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING US IN FLORIDA!!!!!1

makes you proud to be an American

My husband works as a housing inspector thru FEMA. He has been away from home all summer (first Detroit and then Florida before Charley hit) It is hard on us having him gone so much...we have 2 small children. What makes it worthwhile is to know he is out there helping others who are in desparate need of assistance. His answer to someone who asked if he was tired of being away so long... "at least I have a house to go home to" So true!
